Chris Hollingsworth came to the
National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the spring of 1995, where
she took a Grant Financial Analyst position in the budget office
at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases
(NIAID). She worked at NIAID until December 1999, spending the
last two years as Chief, Extramural Grants Financial Management
Section, overseeing the NIAID $1.4 billion dollar extramural
grant budget. Currently Chris is the Budget Officer at the National
Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, managing all
budgetary aspects of the $68.4 million dollar IC.
Chris entered the Management
Cadre Program (MCP) while at NIAID and is graduating with the
class of 2000. During her tenure in the MCP program, she was
able to meet with the NIH leadership and gain insight to the
perspectives, activities and talents of the NIH leadership. Chris
has benefited from both shadow and detail assignments with Executive
Officers and other administrative staff, attending NIH advisory/committee
meetings, and participating in leadership/management class work,
including the OPM Executive Development Seminar Leading
Change.
