About the Alumni Association

Co-Chairs:
Dr. Pamela Clax (NIAID), 301/496-8210
Ms. Megan Columbus (NIAAA), 301/443-0800

Charter
The purpose of the Management Cadre Program Alumni Association (MCPAA) is to serve as a resource for incoming participants in the Management Cadre Program (MCP), as well as for the Leadership Development Committee in its goal to develop the future leaders of the NIH. The MCPAA will strive to advance the objectives of Management Cadre Program as established by the Leadership Development Committee, and support its participants, both past and present.

  1. The MCPAA will serve incoming MCP participants by forging new mentoring partnerships with incoming MCP participants, and by sponsoring brown bag luncheons and other activities that supplement the leadership development activities of the MCP.

  2. The MCPAA will serve the Leadership Development Committee by offering guidance based on the perspectives of those who have participated in the MCP in order to make the MCP a more effective and more widely recognized program at the NIH.

  3. The MCPAA will provide a forum for past MCP participants to sustain relationships established during their tenure in the program, and make new ones with members from other classes.

  4. The MCPAA will invite members of the NIH community at large to participate in selected activities sponsored by the association.

The MCPAA will meet the 2nd Monday of every other month. If that day is a Federal holiday the meeting will be held the following Monday. Rooms will be reserved from 11:30am-1:00pm, with speakers scheduled from 12:00pm-1:00pm. The first 30 minutes will be open discussion.
