Dr. Pamela Clax, Class of 1998
Dr. Clax has received the NIH Director's Award, OD Group Award, Biomarker and Surrogate Endpoint Conference Planning Committee for "...extraordinary scientific leadership in furthering development of biomarkers and surrogate endpoints in clinical trials." The award recognizes scientific and leadership contributions to the NIH OD Biomarker activities, work that she began during her MCP detail assignment(s) with the Office of Science Policy, Office of Science Policy and Planning.

Promotions

CLASS OF 2000

Diane Case, Ph.D., CHP
Dr. Case left NIH in June 2000 to accept a position as a Health Physicist at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. She was formerly a Senior Health Physicist (ORS/OD).

Rebecca DerSimonian, Sc.D.
Dr. DerSimonian has been promoted to the Mathematical Statistician with NIAID. She was formerly a Mathematical Statistician with NICHD.

Christine Hollingsworth
Ms. Hollingsworth has been promoted to Budget Officer for NCCAM. She was formerly a Grant Financial Analyst, (NIAID).

Megan Columbus
Ms. Columbus has been promoted to Special Assistant to the Director of the Office of Policy for Extramural Research Administration, OD. She was formerly a Program Specialist with NIAAA.

Kristi Cooper
Ms. Cooper has been promoted to Contracting Officer with NHLBI. She was formerly a Contract Specialist with NIAID.

Alfred Gordon
Dr. Gordon has been promoted to Director, Office of Special Programs in Neuroscience, Office of the Director, NINDS. He was formerly the Scientific Review Administrator and Special Initiatives and Developmental Programs Officer with NINDS.
